Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself.
Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change. All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.

I agree. There are signs that we in rural parts endured bad provision for so long because the service was delivering reasonably ok elsewhere.The sickness affecting this service seems part and parcel of that affecting the NHS emergency contact system- looks fine on paper but breaks because it can't cope with real problems handled by the incompetent. My bug is with the people on NHS boards, trusts etc running our services-the same people drifting from one admin post to another and the same " lay" member names crop up-and no one seems to question just what some of those bring to the NHS -some appointments are very puzzling, almost like croneyism. I would like to see the East of England Ambulance Trust handed to members of the Royal Logistics Corps on an emergency basis with them given the power to oblige hospitals to comply with whatever measures they feel necessary to meet the government targets for the ambulance service. Then we might see what can or cannot be done. -
